App Reports

Currently, Medialets App Manager provides reporting based on apps' Users, Usage, and Events.

Notably, the apps included in your app reports, unless otherwise defined, will reflect all the apps to which you have access based on all your teams memberships.

Apps Overview

The Apps Overview page will give you a snapshot of app analytics across all the apps to which you have access based on your team memberships. For more information on teams, see: Managing Your Account and Teams.

The Apps Overview page can be viewed by using one of two paths:

  1. Click App Reports on the primary menu
  2. When viewing the List Apps page, click the View Reports link found on each app row

Apps Overview provides a quick summary of the following app metrics:

  • total users
  • average unique user per day
  • total sessions
  • average session per day
  • average session length

Viewing App Reports

Currently, Medialets App Manager provides reporting based on apps' Users, Usage, and Events. Notably, if you are a returning visitor, reporting criteria will already be partially or fully selected based on your last visit's search criteria.

The available App Reports are listed below.

App User Reports

Medialets App Manager provides analytical reports noting how many new and unique users have accessed a given app on a given platform during a given time period, as well as offering associated app user metrics.

Medialytics provides analytical reports in both graphs and charts for display, as well .cvs versions for downloading.

Reports for a given day will display information in hourly increments. Reports for a given month or date range will display information in appropriate increments. Notice that selecting a point on graph line will display an actual count during a specific day.

To download a given report, click the Download Data button in top, right-hand of any graph or chart.

To view a subset of a graph, simply click and drag the mouse to highlight desired timeframe subset. To restore full set, click Show All link located at the top-right corner of the graph.

To view App Users Reports:

  • Navigate to App Users page
    • From Primary Menu, scroll over Reports > App Reports
    • Click Users in Tertiary Menu
  • Supply search criteria
  • Click Apply to generate a report

App Usage Reports

App Usage Reports provide details for total app runs for a given app on a given platform during a given period of time. Specifically, App Usage Reports provides statistics for App Runs, App Runtime, Average Runs per Day, and Average Run time per Session.

Medialytics provides analytical reports in both graphs and charts for display, as well .cvs versions for downloading.

App Events Reports

App Events Reports provide details for user-defined custom app events. Analytics can be provided for a given app on a given platform during a given time period.

To view App Events Reports:

  • Navigate to App Events page
    • From Primary Menu, scroll over Reports > App Reports
    • Click Events in Tertiary Menu
  • Supply search criteria
  • Click Apply to generate a report
  • In the Custom App Events list, notice that some events are displayed as links. Clicking on one of these links will display detailed reports on that given Custom App Event, also known as Custom App Sub Events.

To download a report:

  • Click Download Data button in top, right-hand of any graph or chart.

To sort Custom App Sub Events
  • Click on the header for desired sorting field.
  • The default sorting order is descending. To change the sorting order, simply click on the descending icon next to the sorting field.

Defining Reporting Criteria

All App Manager reports can be tailored to specific reporting criteria. First, select desired app and platform from dropdown menus. The apps in the app dropdown will be all those available to you based on your team memberships. If you are a member of more than one team, the apps in the app dropdown will separated by teams. Next, select a date range for your report. To run report, click Apply.

Notably, search criteria will be saved and available to you across reports and on your next visit to The page _Tool Name does not exist..

Specifying Report's Date Range

To activate Date Search mechanism, simply place the cursor in the Date Range field. Notice that the resulting drop down includes the ability to select a specific recent date, a specific recent month, and a date range.

To specify a date range:

  • Click Date Range > in the dropdown Date Search mechanism
  • Use the < and > arrows on the Start Date and End Date calendars to select dates
  • Click Done
  • When calendars close, click Apply to run report

Alternative, a date or date range observant of date formatting may be entered in the Date Range field.

Downloading Reports

To download a report for offline processing, simply click the Download Data button on the top, right-hand corner of each report graph. Your report will be downloaded as a .cvs file which will open in Microsoft Excel.
